[答:]Now they are using SMPS for home applications as follow;  Example are 1).TV, 2).Lighting inverter 3).PDP etc.

[答:] We have development next generation D8-L process of 48VDC/DC converter for Telecom and Server. 30V D8-L SPL will be the end of MAY.

[答:]Hitachi product quality is good, but it is not an essential factor for price. That is, Hitachi product is still in market price

[答:] We think the advantage is RDS(on)*Qg performance is better than that of the competitor ( particularly in Hitachi Low voltage D7-L series)

[答:]At first, The most important item is to reduce the parasitic inductance in circuit especially for high current operating load. And, if the switching speed is delayed  (ajustable by external gate series resistance), it can reduce the noise (but it is increase switching loss).

[答:] HA16114/HA16116 may be available to use. Regarding MOSFET, Hitachi recommends HAT2071R or HAT2070R

[答:] Sorry 2SK560(D2-H) is discontinue about ten years ago.We recommend new generation 2SK3235(D5-H) instead of 2SK560.

[问:henry] What is the advantage of N-MOS compare to P-MOS process used in Power MOSFET
[答:] The advantage of N-channel MOS is RDS(on) better than P-channel MOS about half lower with same die size. 
[问:starforce] 同样的功率,日立开关MOS场效应晶体管产生的热量比常用的MOS场效应晶体管和双极晶体管产生的热量相比低多少?
[答:] Power loss is determined by On loss(RDS(on)) & SW loss(Qgd) & Drive loss(Qg). All items of Hiatchi's MOSFET are reduced compared with others. 
[问:starforce]当输出功率超过最大值并且其持续时间比允许的更长时,为避免MOS场效应晶体管过热,日立采取何种手段来进行过载保护?其智能化程度达到何种水平?
[答:] It is no problem in case of channel temperature keeps under 150degC.

[答:] Generally, No special design is required for SW MOSFET. In case of special high frequency Operation(over 1MHz) Gate drive voltage should be reduced for decreasing driving power loss(Pdrive= f * Vgs * Qg).Generally, no problem for electro-static issue.
[问:] 我们一般知道,开关电源的频率越高,它的体积会越小,PFM+PWM如何使体积更小?
[答:] The solution of smaller size of "PFC+PWM" power supply is same as general switching power supply.   If switching frequency is higher, you can reduce the outline size.
[问:] 据播放的资料,PFC+PWM结合可使噪音降低。使用PFC,如何能降低EMI?请具体说明工作原理。
[答:] HA16141/HA16142 of “PFC+PWM” combined IC is synchronized switching frequency by itself between PFC and PWM. Therefore the power supply does not has beet noise.
[问:] PFC+PWM 如何共同控制?如何调整它们之间的脉冲频率?
[答:] PFC is a boost dc to dc power supply converter.    The PFC function is controlled output dc voltage with input ac current.    The result, the PFC output voltage becomes constant voltage. And, PFC input current becomes sign wave that wave is following to ac input voltage.

[答:] Yes. The purpose of some photo coupler is for isolation.

[答:] If output voltage is low. Loss power becomes increase.

[答:] The reason of PWM is stable for the output voltage.    The improvement is case by case.
[问:]C模式中快速反馈和慢速反馈如何调节?采用两种不同的反馈速率是否要取得良好的相位补偿?或者是别的什么?
[答:] C-mode should be necessary high speed with low speed feed back.    The C-mode is easy phase compensation than V-mode.

[答:] Normal C-mode frequency is fixed.

[答:] Sorry Hitachi does not synchronized dc to dc switching power supply IC for have note PC yet.

[答:]FRD = Fast Recovery Diode;  some mosfets are built-in FRD for high switching speed

[答:] When Drain-Source Voltage of power MOS reached zero voltage, Power MOS is doing on or off. It is called zero voltage switching.

[答:]Hitachi have some non isolated dc to dc switching regulator ICs.    There are HA16120, HA16114, HA16116, HA16121, HA17451 and other.

[答:]The shunt regulator is using for error amplifier of switching control circuit.

[答:] LFPAK reduced PKG Resistance and Indactance, also down Thermal Resistance, So you can get high efficiency in high frequency operation.

[答:] Because Inductance of wiring connection can be redued compare with each discreat compornent use.

We recommend currently device that is 2SK1518 (500V/20A,0.22ohm), 2SK1522 (500V/50A,0.085ohm).
Then, New device H5N5004PL (500V/50A,0.09ohm) and H5N5005PL (500V/60A,0.07ohm)

[答:]Usually we think no problem under 24Vpeak that use VGSS guarantee +/-20V type.
This depends on devices.
According to Hitachi Power MOSFET
3 kind of devices type line-up now.
 1.VGSS=+/-30V High voltage
 2.VGSS=+/-20V
 3.VGSS=+/-12V

[答:]We have tested in many UPS and Power supply

[答:]This depends on power MOSFET package.

The RDS(on) is not requirement.
The most important is channel dessipation of power MOSFET.

[答:]The most important characteristics of this condition is On
resistance RDS(on). So you must choose Low RDS(on) MOSFET.
If the high frequency operation, you must choose Low Qgd and Low thermal resistance type MOSFET. Because switching loss is increase.

1.Logic level MOSFET
  4V Drive or 2.5V Drive
  You can see data sheet RDS(on) test condition.
  and see the characteristics VGS VS RDS(on) or VDS(on).
2.If you use high frequency > 200KHz
